partners for the first time with United Way

September 1st to September 7th

Winnipeg’s Le Burger Week, presented by Saputo and now in its seventh year, will present 120 restaurants featuring new and fan favourite burgers, from September 1st through September 7th, all in support of the community and its charity partner, United Way.

A partnership whereby $1 dollar for each burger sold goes to feed thousands of hungry kids across the city at United Way Winnipeg agencies.

In 2012, Charcoal Collaborative, a Winnipeg-based food blog, who, alongside running Le Burger Week and La Poutine Week, seeks to promote the culinary scene in Winnipeg, was approached by Le Burger Week to organize the culinary event here in their city.

As the festival is set to kick-off, participants can expect to participate in voting of their favourite burgers similar to some of last year’s winners: The Krakow Burger (Brazen Hall & Kitchen Brewer),  Burgers, Beets, Battlestar Galactica (Nuburger Stradbrook) and The Purple Rain ( The Grove Pub & Restaurant).

For those who have never experienced the festival, organizers share a few tips: attend as a group, try many burgers and experience as many new restaurants as possible, and wear your comfy pants!
